Finnleo Far-Infrared Radiant Heat Therapy Rooms
What is an Infrared Heat Therapy Room?
Far-infrared is perfect as a "heat therapy room" for athletes looking for a pre-workout warm up, to warm up muscles and increase flexibility, helping to prevent injury. It's also ideal for pre-warmup for physical therapy and massage therapy, or for a relaxing winddown at the end of a stress-filled day.
A Finnleo Infrared heat therapy room provides soothing heat, directly radiated to the body, with almost no time waiting for preheating. The far-infrared radiant heat induces a deep sweat for cleaninsing and detoxifying the body and for burning calories.
The amount and positioning of the heat sources in a Finnleo Infrared Room is specially harmonized to the particular Infrared room's design and size. The heat radiates in a
wide angle from each heater so the heat is spread evenly within the cabin space.
Traditional Finnish Sauna vs. Finnleo Infrared Heat Therapy Room
In a traditional Finnish sauna, "climate" is very important. The sauna heater's heating elements transfer heat to the rocks and wood of the sauna room--causing a soft, radiating heat. The heat "envelopes" the user. The heat is from the rocks and the wood. Steam is an important part of the sauna climate and the sauna experience. Humidity is adjusted to the user's preferences by sprinkling water on the heated rocks, creating a soft steam.
In an Infrared Heat Therapy Room, the ambient temperature is much lower than a traditional sauna, humidity levels are at normal household humidity's, there is less heat-up time, and the heat is directed at the bather.
Common Benefits of Sauna and Infrared:
Benefits associated with deep sweating:
- Ridding the body of toxins
- Cardiovascular workout
- Relaxation and stress reduction
- Induces a deeper sleep
- Soothing relief to sore and stiff muscles and joints
Key points about a Traditional Finnish Sauna:
- Steam is an essential part of the sauna experience
- Heater with a large amount of rocks for a unique climate
- "Sauna Feeling" where dry heat is combined with bursts of steam (climate changes from desert-dry to tropical)
- Temperatures between 140 to 190 degrees
- Wood of the sauna absorbs the heat and emits it back softly to the sauna room for a real "sauna feeling"
- Periodic climate changes: ritual of heating up and cooling down (from sauna to shower, lake, etc.) several times during the sauna session
- Ages old sauna culture and tradition with scientifically proven benefits for the human body. The body absorbs the beneficial heat through the skin and the respiratory tract
- Sauna culture includes the social side of sauna bathing---enjoying the sauna with friends, family and significant others
- The sauna is the only bath in the world where the user controls both temperature and humidity
Key points about Infrared:
- Ready to use very quickly (as little as five minutes, 10 to 15 minutes being typical)
- Normal session from heat-up time to completed session is about 30 minutes
- Air temperature of 105 to 140 degrees
- High levels of perspiration at relatively low temperatures
- Heating of body directly through Infrared heat; optimal arrangement of heat sources
- Efficient in the depth of heat penetration
- Excellent muscle "warmer-upper" for pre and post workout sessions, for loosening of stiff and sore muscles, etc.
- Mobile and easy to assemble
Uses for Infrared
Infrared and Sport:
- Use to warm up muscles before a workout
- Reduces risk of injury
- Use after a workout to soothe sore muscles
Infrared and Therapy:
- Improves range of motion, loosen joints and muscles prior to massage or chiropractic work
- Ideal for treating muscle strains and muscle tension
- Induces deep relaxation
Infrared for a morning pick-me-up or an end of day wind-down:
- Use for a morning warm-up. As a morning "pick-me-up", take a short session of warm, soothing heat prior to your shower
- Soothing heat in low ambient air temperatures is a great way to start a day or end a day
- As an end-of-day wind-down, the infrared heat can soothe tense muscles and reduce stress; the body releases endorphins promoting a deeper sleep
Infrared Heater and Controls
Each heater has a low wattage, low density, stainless steel element for soft, even distribution of heat. Multiple heaters per room are positioned to maximize heat radiation to the body. Heaters are pre-wired and include a cord for easy plug-in.
Each Finnleo Infrared room includes a Finnleo SS-2000-IR programmable digital control system, with one control panel on the exterior wall and one control panel inside the room for easy, fingertip control (Sunset has exterior control only).
